More than a decade ago, Expedite founder and CEO Chris Heffernan saw the rise of food delivery and realized something was missing: a reliable solution for catering. Big orders, tight windows, and high customer expectations needed a different approach, and Expedite was born.

What started with a single cheesesteak delivery grew into a national logistics platform, purpose built for catering and high touch deliveries.

Originally launched as dlivrd, the company rebranded to Expedite in 2025 to reflect its evolution from a local delivery provider into a tech forward logistics company, built for scale, precision, and impact. Since 2018, Expedite has powered thousands of drivers, supported hundreds of partners, and increased visibility through its proprietary driver app launched in 2024, along with a brand manager app that gives operators more control and insight into every order.
