What’s Staying the Same

FAQs

Why is dlivrd rebranding to Expedite?
Expedite is already a brand within dlivrd. This change now ensures more consistency within all of our technology products.

All drivers need to onboard with Gigee and its partner Gigsafe. Specifically, any driver who is not onboarded by September 1st will lose access to the Expedite app.

  • Driver contracts
  • Occupational accident insurance
  • Claims support for injuries during delivery
  • MVR and background checks
  • Year-end 1099 tax forms
No changes. You’ll still receive payments via Everee and the Expedite Visa Pay Card (Or Stripe in Canada). However, the payments will now list Gigsafe instead of dlivrd.

You may receive two 1099s: one from dlivrd (for earnings prior to this change) and one from Gigsafe (for post-onboarding earnings).

A 1099 is issued per entity in which you earned at least $600.

If your MVR does not meet insurance standards, you’ll be contacted and given 7 days to provide any relevant documentation or clarification. Ultimately, we will not be able to contract with drivers who do not have a clean MVR.

Screening before 9/1 includes a free MVR.

After 9/1 the cost of the MVR screening will be at the expense of the driver.

No. Expedite built the current dlivrd driver app. The new app will look the same just under the Expedite name.

New brand, new standards. We are elevating our platform and ensuring higher safety levels.
No, your current performance metrics will stay the same, as well as your emerald status.

Sure! As an independent contractor, you choose what to wear, so there is no need to throw out any dlivrd gear. That said, we do plan to have plenty of Expedite materials available soon!

If you have questions about the new required driver screening, you can reach out to Gigee by emailing support@gigeeapp.com For all other questions, you can use the driver support phone number.

Don’t miss the deadline!

Starting in early August, Gigee will begin sending onboarding links. You’ll be asked to complete the following:

  1. Sign a new agreement.
  2. Upload proof of driver’s license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance.
  3. Complete a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check.

To avoid disruption, complete onboarding by September 1st. After that date, drivers not onboarded will lose access to the Expedite Driver App.

You will soon receive emails and text messages that will allow you to complete the onboarding process  keep an eye out!
